What about the Host?
A web hosting service provider (host) is basically a business that rents space on its computers (normally called servers). After a website is created (offline/on pc), it is uploaded or transferred to the hosting provider’s server. The hosting provider then allows the world to view the website when someone types in the web address (domain name/ URL) of the internet site. And then the site (or specific webpage) is sent to the person (browser) requesting to view the site.
Hosting (also known as website hosting, Web hosting, and Webhosting) is the business of housing, providing a server, and maintaining files for one or more Web sites. In simple words, a web hosting service can be defined as providing space on a server that allows others to view your website.
Shared web hosting
A shared web hosting service refers to a web hosting service where many websites reside on one web server connected to the Internet. Each site “sits” on its own partition, or section/place on the server to keep it separate from other sites. This is generally the most economical option for hosting as many people share the overall cost of server maintenance.
